Visiting the Gallery

Where is The Springfield House Gallery located?

We are located in a beautifully restored Grade II listed former mill house in Stockport, Greater Manchester.

Do I need an appointment to visit?

Yes, visits are by appointment only, ensuring a peaceful and personal experience. We offer one appointment slot per day, three days a week. Book your visit here.

Is the gallery wheelchair accessible?

We are very sorry, though due to the nature of the listed building, And that this is also a family home. We are not able to offer Wheelchair access. There is a gravel path that leads to the property and some of the gallery space is in the basemen. Please let us know in advance so we can best accommodate your visit.

Can I bring children or pets?

Children are very welcome with supervision. Unfortunately, we cannot allow pets, except for assistance animals. The gallery does have its own pet dog called pretzel. She is a Medium sized PomChi Mix. She is very friendly but If You are not a fan of dogs we can make sure she is out of the way for you.

Who is the artist behind the work?

The gallery exclusively showcases the work of Chaz Newton-Smith, a Stockport-based artist whose expressive, abstract works often feature urban landmarks, the Lake District, and dramatic seascapes.

What are the price ranges of the artwork?

Original oil paintings range from £1,500 to £4,000, depending on size and complexity. We also offer framed fine art prints starting from around £50-£200

Do you offer custom commissions?

Yes, Chaz will take on a few commissions each year—as long as they’re in line with his style and subject matter. While he doesn’t do portraits, if you’re after something with a similar feel to his existing work—urban scenes, seascapes, or expressive landscapes—feel free to get in touch and we can chat it through.

Can I buy artwork online?

Yes, you are welcome to buy fine art prints online, this comes from Chaz’s extensive range of digital paintings. They can be ordered through his shop And come in a few different sizes, both framed and unframed. If you are looking to purchase an oil painting, please visit the Springfield house art gallery and have a chat with Charles and he would love to Help you out.

Artwork Information

Are the prints limited edition?

No prints are not limited edition Full details are available during your appointment or on individual product pages.

Though in the future there will be some very short runs so look out for this!

What kind of paper and printing do you use?

Our fine art prints are professionally produced on 2200 GSM archival paper using museum-grade inks for longevity and vibrancy.

Events & Press

Do you hold events or exhibitions?

We host occasional preview evenings and private showings. These are by invitation only. To receive invitations, join our mailing list.

Can I write a feature or review about the gallery?
